A group representing four members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe has filed a federal lawsuit against Jackson County, claiming it doesn’t given equal voting access to Native American voters.
Part of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is located in the county. Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law filed the complaint Thursday in Rapid City. [Read more here.]
